So when break started and everyone was leaving for some place fun and exciting, I have to admit, I was slightly jealous...ok, a LOT jealous. But I was ok with just relaxing and catching up on sleep. Little did I know that I was to be getting the best surprise ever...well surprise as in I paid for it, but didn't expect to be getting it so soon. It's silver blue, has four wheels, and falls under the category of "Saturn Ion"

~Stressed to hell and back (2 papers, 3 tests, and a few pop quizzes in one week just doesn't bring a smile to my face).
~People are useless sometimes (mostly directed at damn Grad TAs who shouldn't be teaching 400-level college courses).
~Had first run-in with cops ever. Needless to say will re-think drinking outside of dorm safety for a while
~SUPER excited for the weekend! STATE'S GONNA KICK SOME ASS!!!
~Feel like I'm everywhere but here
~Will be Scuba certified in a matter of weeks (Great Barrier Reef here

Hello hello everyone. I hope you all are doing well and are gettin hyped about going back to school. I'm kinda happy, but at the same time, I technically haven't left...workin and taking classes on campus all summer doesn't leave much to get excited to come back to. But I'm truely looking forward to seeing everyone again, and it promises to me an exciting semester! :-)
I would like to give a few shout-outs before I continue with my updating, to Alyssa and Alexa! Happy Birthday girls! Today is Alyssa's b-day, but I unfortunatly had to miss Alexa's, due to being up at Central to teach the Ford kids at their camp. Hope you guys have/had great days! :-)
DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL IS COMING TO WHARTON! SOOO EXCITED! :-D
So camp was a ton of fun actually. I got along splendidly with all the instructors, and we all had a great time each night after "work" was said and done. I have found a new and enjoyable drink...ButterShots with Milk. But beware, you can't drink too much of it; it's really sweet. But I do recommend it ;-) I got some great pics of everyone, however, they were mostly on my old camera, and turned out kinda nasty. Oh well, you still get the important parts ;-) There were 2 guys from State teaching there as well, which was pretty cool. I hung out with them a lot, since Michelle and I were bummin rides off of them the entire week. Which I didn't mind, of course, considering I was kinda crushing on one of them ;-). Really sweet guy. ANYWAYS, moving on ;-)
Work has gotten better. I didn't really work with Diane much today, so that's probably why. Somestime sit seems that she just doesn't realize how her words can affect people...and hurt as a matter of fact. Sometimes she insists she would go crazy without my help, and others it seems like she feels as though I'm completely useless. *sigh* Can't please everyone all the time I suppose.
And that's another thing. Why, I ask, does the past suddenly spring up to bite you in the butt when you least expect it?!? This has happened to me twice this summer alone, and I'm sure it will continue. I dont' really know how I feel about either situation. In both I kinda got screwed over, but, as sad as it sounds, that's kinda something I'm getting used to...I guess I can only wait and see what becomes of either stuation.
ANYWAYS, I hope to hear from/see most of you soon! Have an excellent rest of the summer!

Hello all. Long time no write. THings have been pretty crazy around here the past few weeks, as is always my excuse. But this weekend was definitely eventful. My sister is now married, and someone else's problem ;-). It was a really beautiful wedding, and I had a great time. Of course, there were moments where I wanted to strangle her with her veil, including when she woke me up at 6am asking me to get her a coke from the fridge....I was not pleased, needless to say :-). But other then that, I had an awesome time just seeing a lot of friends and family that I haven't seen in forever, and meeting a ton of new people. The reception was beautiful, and I had a great time dancing. THe bridesmaids were all so nice. I was afraid that since I wasn't there for anything before the wedding, things would be kinda akward, but they were very willing to include me, which was awesome. ANd after the reception, some of the bridesmaids had a little party thing at their room, which was also very fun, and relaxing. Plus, I never knew balloon animals could have such an affect on a slightly tipsy crowd ;-)
all and all, a success :-) And I hope everything goes smoothly for Jen and John. And with that, I'm finished :-)

Yea, definitely haven't updated in a while. THings have been pretty crazy for the past few weeks between classes and finals and problems at home. While the finals and classes went very well, actually got my 3.5 in Orgo, the home life has been pretty sad lately. Our dog Shadow has been very very sick since Feb, and unfortunatly on Tues we had to put him down. It was definitely the hardest thing I've ever had to do. He was my best friend, and knowing that there was nothing we could do to make him feel better was so heart-breaking. And to make it all the worse, we still don't kow what happened to him. Apparently, now it looks like he had some kind of stomach cancer. He could barely keep any food down. He kept throwing up blood and he was so weak, he couldn't walk straight and could barely stand on his own. My parents didn't tell me how bad he got until I was on my way home from school; they didn't want that to be over my head while I had my finals. I miss him so much. He was truely my best friend. THe unconditional love you recieve from a pet is something that you can't begin to describe. Just one look from those eyes and you know. But Shadow's eyes just looked beaten; he had stuck it out for so long, and he just couldn't fight it anymore. And when you see that look in your pet's eyes, you know that the best thing you can do is let them go, no matter how hard it is to do. I just wish there was some other way; i miss my baby so much..

So yesterday was my 20th B-day, and it was awesome to say the least ;-)
I got up and got ready to go out with my parents, who came up for the day. When they got here, I opened presents, which were all sooo awesome. I got an MP3 player like I wanted for so long, and some of my favorite scents from Vicky's and Bath and Body Works. I'm spoiled, this I know ;-). When we were heading out to lunch with Erin, I saw that Happy Birthday Sandy was written on the sidewalk outside. Let me just say that I have the coolest roomate ever! :-D She had written it all over earlier in the morning. We then went out to lunch at Clara's. Afterwards, we dropped Erin off, and then went out shopping, which was lovely. Found some great stuff, and really good deals, I must say. My parents dropped me off, and I was talking to Katie when I noticed that she had a sticker on that said "Stop and hug Sandy". Apparently, Erin had printed off little stickers for everyone to wear to dinner that had something to do with my birthday. She's just too awesome. :-) SO then Alyssa, Erin, Ryan, Alexa, Katie, Jeff, Anjali, and I went out to dinner at Pizza House, which Alyssa had planned (THANKS ALYSSA!), and they surprised me yet again with a cake that Alyssa and Erin had gotten earlier in the day. We then came back here for presents and stuff, (a BIG Thank you to everyone!)including a ride in Nick's convertible ;-). After all of that, Tiffany drove down from Grand Rapids to visit! She could only stay about an hour, but the fact that she didn't care about the time and wanted to see me made me feel so special! :-)Josh also came over with the weirdest card in history and some CD's for me to burn. And by the time the night was over, I was POOPED! lol
I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends who will go out of their way to make my day special. You guys are the best! And a special thanks to Erin, Alyssa, and Tiffany for going above and beyond. I love you all! :-D

So Tiff's party was tonight...total funness! Ther ewas me, Tiff, Dish, Katie, Chris, Becky, and then Jenny showed up for a little while. I had so much fun. probably went a little over my limit...I remember falling out of a chair at some point and having an on-going count of me saying the word "woo", but I blame that on the like more than double shot of 99 Apples I had. BAD idea that stuff, lemme tell ya. but it was all in good fun, and I have some awesome pics. so the possible hangover I'll get tomorrow will be worthwhile I suppose.
Went out shopping with Ryan today at Somerset. I can't get over that place; SOO frickin expensive. It's like even window shopping drains my bank account. But the company was excellent, and he took me to this little Irish Pub by his house for lunch, which was REALLY yummy. PLace called Bubble and Squeak. Cute little place indeed.
SO I can't believe that break is almost over. Totally not fair. it feels like I haven't even had break. Most of mine has been speant in the doc's offive though, so I suppose that's why. Stupid body...I don't understand it. I have to come back home again for the weekend of Easter, causer I have an appointment with the kidney specialist on the 28th. Not cool. I just wish I knew how seriously I'm supposed to worry about this. It freaks me out cause of what happened to my dad. I guess I'll just have to wait till the 28th to see though...
ALright, that's enough for now I suppose...Hope everyone had an awesome break!

So I have had some of the greatest fun the past few days! Monday, I went out to dinner with Bill to BD's, which was very enjoyable :-). It was nice to have a date for the dreaded V-day! Then much boringness until Wednesday, when Ryan, Alyssa, and I (later Katie and Jeff too) watched American Idol for two hours, which was quite enjoyable. I love my American Idol date nights! :-) Then Thursday, Dish and Tiff came here for some Dane Cook and Tiff's 21st Birthday Celebration!

So we went out to dinner at Bennigan's once they got here, and then we came back to get ready. Dish did my makeup, and while I was a little unsure about it at first, I TOTALLY feel in love with it. We all looked sooooo good! And Dish, the true trooper that she is, suffered though a broken toe just to wear her hot shoes. :-) And, of course, "Dane-gel" was frickin awesome! I wish I could remember all of the memorable quotes and skits, but we'll leave it to Sandy needs to buy his CD...like now! And, if any guy tries out the cashew skit, I TOTALLY wanna know about it!!! :-D After the show, the girls and I went over to Meijer for some snackies and...refreshments ;-) But I must say, we behaved excellently! Dish didn't even have any, which I know was killing her :-(. I'm pretty much stocked for a while, and we'll just leave it at that :-).
So today, I had to get up frickin early to move Dish's car, which I don't truly mind, cause she let me drive it practically the whole time they were here, muhahaha. But I came back, went to breakfast with Alyssa, Melissa, and Erin, and went to class and work. Came back here and went out with Tiff and Dish to partake in a retail therapy session. ;-) But then they left, and now I'm sad. :-( This was the first time that the 3 of us have been together outside of the Heights, and I LOVED it! I love those girls sooooo much!! I miss them already! :-( Can't wait for Spring Break though! :-D
But, the fun continues for me tonight, for I am going to the State hockey game with my Alyssa and my Alexa. Sidenote: SOOOOO upset about the NHL. Not that I'm surprised, but still! GRRRARRR! >:-/. Ok, sidenote over. Anyways, I'm just really glad to have been able to have so much fun. I've been needing it; school is bringin me down! :-P But yea...YAY for fun days! :-D

Nick was kind enough to make my bed for me! Of course, he did break my penguin, but still! I hate making my bed. I always feel so tired afterward. But he saved me the trouble, and I can go to bed now! YAY! :-P
And even though I did put up a fuss about coming back, I realized how much I really miss everyone, and am glad to be here. :-D although I miss everyone at home now...it's a vicious cycle!

SO I head back to school tomorrow...well, technically later today. I don't wanna go! LOL. I mean, I'm really excited to see my friends from school and stuff, but I REALLY don't wanna start classes again. Plus I've had an awesome break. I got to see a lot of people and had a great time just relaxing, hanging out, and having fun. I did work over break, but not a lot. I got a pretty good paycheck for the time that I did work, which I'm happy about, and my discount, of course, was lovely. SO no real complaints there, other than the late closing nights, of course :-).
Things did get a little rocky when my sis and her fiance were here though. During that time, I would've probably liked to be back in East Lansing lol. I dunno what it is, but her and I always butt heads when she's home. I don't like how she takes advantage of my parents when she's here, and she always insists on being treated like a queen. But despite all that, I still was really glad to be home.
Since I can't avoid it much longer, lol, I suppose that I should really consider what kind of goals I want to set for myself when I get back for the semester. Although I really didn't do all that bad last semester, I still would like to bring the grades up a bit. Time management is something that I still haven't learned it seems, despite my best efforts. But I can only do what I can. I just hope this semester will be a little less stressful, but I doubt that it will be. Orgo 2 lab and lecture, Physics 1 lab and lecture, Stats and an Honors Religion course doesn't seem to leave much room for relaxing, but maybe I'll luck out! *crosses fingers*
*sigh* well, my lovely break, I will miss you horribly, but we shall meet again in March...Until then...I'll look back on the good times, and smile...
God I'm dramatic ;-) Bye all!
